Sharon has been working in the field of fundraising and development for thirty years and has managed grant programs for local and regional organizations in Colorado, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. In 1999, she left her position as statewide grants manager for the Massachusetts Audubon Society to establish her own consulting firm.
In the last twenty years, she has taught grant writing in a variety of settings as well as provided foundation and corporate research, proposal writing, and grants management to a diverse number of nonprofit organizations. Her clients included the EDCO Collaborative for Greater Boston, Notre Dame High School in Lawrence, the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, Transition House, the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass/MetroWest, the Notre Dame Education Center, Notre Dame Educational Bridge Center, the Multi-Service Center, A Suitable Image, Caritas Christi Holy Family Hospital, The Trustees of Reservations, Boston Natural Areas Network, Bread & Roses Housing, Laboure’ College, Employment Options, Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, Career Resources Corporation, Worcester State University, Eastham Public Library, Plummer Youth Promise, Shooting Touch, Inc., Abby’s House, The Umbrella Community Arts Center, ACT Lawrence, Inc., the Worcester Public Market, and Boston Harbor Now.
