Client Testimonials
We engaged Copley Raff to help reengage our Board of Trustees. Larry Raff undertook a comprehensive study and provided insightful recommendations to reenergize our board. Our relationship with Copley Raff and Larry has been so beneficial that we will be engaging them to complete our next campaign feasibility study.
We were very pleased with the search that Copley Raff, Inc. did for BC. We have used bigger firms, but was extremely impressed with the partnership and outcome achieved with CRI. She said the fit was good, the process excellent and that people listened well to her.
Larry was just what our non-profit organization needed when we began a 2-year strategic planning process. Larry provided excellent counsel, and was terrific to work with. Thanks to him our Board made great advances in addressing capacity and resource development issues. I really enjoyed working with Larry! I hope to do so again in the future.
Larry and Rebekah were key to our successful campaign. They are true professionals, raised the bar for us, kept us on task, and most important, were a pleasure to work with. Larry was always available for a meeting, call or email question. I truly felt supported all the way in our campaign. They also exhibit a wealth of experience in working with synagogues and understand the community. Temple Reyim enjoyed working with them and will do so again in future campaigns.
That was an excellent presentation this morning. It was very well received by all, including by some who thought they already knew everything they need to know about development. It also was very generous of you to produce and share written responses to our questions.
I’ve been in the business for 26 years, but from you yesterday I learned a new way to think about things, some new information, and was energized by the session.
A great thing I found about Copley Raff was that they reported the facts – as opposed what the client wanted to hear.
Larry and his colleagues were great to work with as we assessed whether to take on a capital campaign. The team was thorough and forthright in their recommendations. In the end, the recommendation was to forgo a capital campaign, but we got a lot of wonderful suggestions on the direction we needed to move as an organization going forward. The time spent with staff on this work has guided us through a strategic plan where many of our fund development tactics are based on suggestions from the work with did with Copley Raff.
Larry Raff and Rebekah Kaufman were tremendously helpful to our congregation in launching our successful capital campaign. Over an extended period, they advised our leadership team with thoughtful, wise direction; they conducted an important feasibility study with great sensitivity that provided us with crucial information; they met with key donors, and gave us the tools to do so, with careful attention; and they provided us with important written language and publicity documents to help us get going. Their support was invaluable — as a result, our renovations will be beautiful, our Community Engagement Fund supports the salary of an additional rabbi on our staff, and our entire community is excited about our collective achievement.
Copley Raff was instrumental in helping South County Hospital to exceed its $10 million campaign goal. As campaign chairman, I had confidence in the advice and leadership provided by Copley Raff, and their creativity helped to keep our costs down and to complete the campaign ahead of schedule. I consider Copley Raff as our secret weapon for success.
Copley Raff has done a wonderful job for us. You have proactively immersed yourself into our culture and it’s noticed. I will always be a champion for you and greatly appreciate all you are doing to help us through this transition.
Diane is a gem and we are much better off for her assistance with us over the last six months. Her staff leadership, board communications, and practical experience have contributed greatly to our being in a much better position than we were.
Your name and program drew more than fifty area not for profit organizations. Evaluations stated that this was one of the best programs ever presented. One very experienced not for profit President & CEO stated that he found your presentation to be very detailed and compelling on a very complicated issue.
Larry and Susan Kinney helped my college with a reorganization of our board of trustees and the creation of our strategic plan. Larry and his team did a great job, delivered on-time, and was always available when we called. Copley Raff is a quality firm lead by a true expert in the field of fundraising and advancement. I will not hesitate hiring Larry and Susan again to help us in the future should the need arise.
Larry – great presentation on Wednesday at Associated Grant Makers. Probably one of the most helpful I have ever attended. Great advice, hints, how to’s, great examples, etc. Thanks.
I worked with Larry Raff, through his firm, Copley Raff, to, plan, develop, and launch a new public health foundation. From concept to creation, Larry brought substantial expertise in public health, philanthropy, board and fund development, and executive mentoring. Larry was a key strategic partner and advisor who was always timely, thoughtful, and patient as we navigated the tricky currents of launching a start-up. No doubt, without his steady counsel, there would have been significant frustrations, delays and cost overruns. I look forward to working with him and Copley Raff again.
Larry Raff’s speaking style is so engaging and his knowledge base so deep that attendees at our 2007 AFP conference consistently rated him as the best presenter of the entire conference. He rated the highest evaluations of any speaker in my history of planning the conference. “This was THE presentation to hear. Organized. Poignant. Relative.”
For over 20 years, I have worked with nonprofit consultants, including those that are nationally and internationally recognized. I have worked with Copley Raff on projects such as feasibility studies, capital campaigns, and professional coaching sessions. From my experience, Copley Raff is the best consulting firm that I have ever worked with, from their vast knowledge and expertise, to implementing the best strategies and plans to ensure success with campaigns and major gift fundraising. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for counsel with any philanthropic venture.
Larry Raff knowing what to say and when to say it, in meeting with prospects of great potential. Hehas excellent communication skills, particularly in bringing alive to potential donors the compelling scientific vision that underpins so much of philanthropy for medical research. If you want a planner and an asker who gets out there and secures very large grants, and can really work effectively with key volunteers and donors, then Larry is your man.
